Module File: a music file format originating from the Amiga demoscene. It contains instrument samples and pattern data for tracker-style music playback.

QuickTime File Format: a multimedia container format developed by Apple for its QuickTime framework. It is commonly used in video editing and is the basis for the MP4 format.

MPEG-1 Audio Layer III: the most widely used lossy audio compression format. Developed by the Fraunhofer Society, it dramatically reduced audio file sizes while maintaining acceptable quality.

MPEG-4 Part 14: the most widely used digital multimedia container format. It stores video, audio, subtitles, and metadata, and is the standard for web video delivery.

Musepack: a lossy audio codec optimized for high-quality transparent compression. It is based on MPEG-1 Layer-2 algorithms with significant improvements.
